Treasuring Our Trees
The storms of June 2021 were a traumatic period for Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges residents, with approximately 25,000 trees falling. Treasuring our Trees saw an incredible chance to turn this sadness into a positive. An inspiring volunteer-led community project was born, using many of the fallen log woods to create; Sustainable garden projects • Indoor furniture for schools • Sports equipment • Imaginative play spaces • Adventure trails • Bush cubby houses • Outdoor yarning/teaching circles • Veggie gardens • Erosion control • Bush tucker gardens • Fairy houses …and much more.
Join us to hear Dave Ferrier founder of Treasuring our Trees present on this truly inspiring topic.
