Dear Stallholder and Patrons

The Lilydale Craft and Produce Market has operated successfully for 15 years. Over that time, we have implemented various changes. However, this past year has been particularly challenging. At the end of June 2025, we made the decision to hold the market every six months, beginning in October and concluding at Easter.
Four markets have taken place under this format. The December event was held alongside the Melba Street Festival, which our stallholders enthusiastically supported. Unfortunately, the February and March markets saw very low visitor numbers, leading some stallholders to decline invitations or not attend altogether in March.
Additionally, our club’s volunteer base—especially those able to assist with setup and logistics—has dwindled. As a result, we believe it is time to discontinue the market in its current form at Yarra Ranges Council.
The Rotary Club of Lilydale extends heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated stallholders for their steadfast support of the Lilydale Craft and Produce Market. Your involvement, along with contributions from patrons, has played a vital role in funding numerous community and international projects over the years. For instance, funds have supported local community services, Holy Fools, and Bridgebuilders. Donations received have also been directed back into the community through Disaster Aid, particularly assisting areas affected by bushfires, storms, and floods.
The Rotary Club of Lilydale also supports the youth in our community through the local Schools supporting them with the Primary School Speech Contest.
Supporting secondary students to attend the NYSF, National Youth Science Forum. The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program provides high-achieving students an immersive experience in STEM, with opportunities for university campus stays, lab tours, industry interaction, and networking with like-minded peers and alumni.
And Driver education via RYDA, Rotary Youth Driver Awareness, held at the local campus.  RYDA (Click link for more information)
The monies raised thru the sale of the donated books is tallied up over the year and donated to ROMAC, Rotary Oceana Medical Aid for Children   ROMAC
Once again to all patrons and Stallholders and our volunteers thank you again for your ongoing support over the many years.
